Tonight we will advance our clocks an hour.
If we lose an hour of sleep tomorrow, we still gain an hour of clarity. With the winter we have known, I believe that more light will do us the greatest good. Here are some suggestions that could be made in the house during this weekend.
. Check if your smoke alarms and carbon monoxide detectors work. Change the batteries as needed.
. Check also the fire extinguisher for physical damage, corrosion, leakage, and expiry date. Verify the charge gauge or indicator (green means it’s full).
Lift the extinguisher to ensure it is still full.
. Flip or rotate the mattress.
. Vaccum and clean the bathroom exhaust vent fan.
. Vaccum the fridge’s coil.

. Declutter your closets, by removing any off-season items and anything you do not use on a regular basis.
